Sunday in Gaza
‘Sunday in Gaza’ is a photographic collage, consisting of a press photograph from the New York Times from 29 October 2023 (photographer: Avishag Shaar-Yashuv), shot shortly after the outbreak of the Israeli-Gaza war. I edited this press picture and combined it with a silhouette of a barren landscape of trees with crows. In this work, I am interested in a depiction of our world that combines horror and suffering with beauty and hope.
